About the Role
As the Lead Data Engineer, you’ll set the technical direction for LakeFusion’s data architecture. You’ll mentor engineers, design best practices for pipeline development, and ensure scalability for enterprise clients.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Own the architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and persistence.
Guide the design of reusable frameworks for schema evolution, lineage, and observability.
Lead and mentor a team of Databricks Data Engineers.
Review code, enforce engineering standards, and promote best practices.
Partner with product and AI/ML teams to align data pipelines with platform needs.
Manage performance, cost optimization, and reliability across data systems.
Qualifications:
7+ years in data engineering, with leadership/mentorship experience.
Deep expertise in Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
Strong experience with streaming frameworks (Structured Streaming, Delta Live Tables).
Proven success designing large-scale, cloud-native data systems (AWS or Azure or GCP).
Familiarity with governance and MDM concepts.
Strong communication skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
