Senior MDM Solution Architect will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions on the Lake Fusion

The Senior MDM Solution Architect will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions on the LakeFusion platform, powered by Databricks.

The role requires deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, data governance, and large-scale data platform implementations.

The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and product teams to design robust MDM frameworks that enable trusted, governed, and scalable master data across the enterprise.

Prior experience architecting enterprise-grade MDM solutions is mandatory.

•       Lead end-to-end MDM solution architecture on LakeFusion and Databricks.

•       Define master data domains, canonical models, entity resolution strategies, andsurvivorship rules.

•       Design scalable Lakehouse-based MDM architectures using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.

•       Work closely with engineering teams to ensure architecture is implemented correctly.

•       Establish enterprise data governance, stewardship, and data quality frameworks.

•       Provide architectural leadership during large-scale data modernization programs.

Discovery Phase

•       Conduct stakeholder workshops to understand master data domains, business processes,and data pain points.

•       Assess current systems, data sources, integration patterns, and governance maturity.

•       Identify candidate domains for MDM (customer, supplier, product, asset, etc.).

•       Document current-state architecture and identify data fragmentation issues.

Assessment & Strategy Definition

•       Define enterprise MDM strategy aligned with business objectives.

•       Evaluate existing data management practices and governance policies.

•       Define target-state architecture for LakeFusion + Databricks MDM implementation.

•       Identify required tooling, governance models, and stewardship workflows.

Solution Architecture Design

•       Design canonical data models and golden record definitions.

•       Define entity resolution, matching algorithms, and survivorship rules.

•       Design ingestion, transformation, and mastering pipelines using Databricks.

•       Define data quality frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.

•       Define data access patterns, APIs, and data sharing strategies.

Implementation & Engineering Enablement

•       Guided data engineering teams in building pipelines and data models.

•       Define development standards, architecture guardrails, and design patterns.

•       Review implementation artifacts and ensure adherence to architecture.

Testing & Validation

•       Define test strategies for data quality, entity resolution, and mastering accuracy.

•       Support QA teams in validation of golden record generation and lineage tracking.

•       Ensure governance policies are enforced through Unity Catalog.

Solution Walkthrough & Stakeholder Alignment

•       Conduct architecture walkthroughs with business stakeholders and technical teams.

•       Explain the target architecture, governance model, and operational workflows.

•       Support adoption through documentation and architecture knowledge transfer.

Deployment & Production Readiness

•       Support deployment planning and production readiness reviews.

•       Ensure monitoring, observability, and governance controls are in place.

•       Guide operational teams for long-term sustainment.

•       10+years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise DataPlatforms.

•       Minimum 5+ years designing or implementing enterprise Master Data Management solutions.

•       Strong experience in MDM architecture including entity resolution, data matching, survivorship, and golden record management.

•       Experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and large-scale distributed data platforms.

•       Experience implementing governance frameworks using Unity Catalog or equivalent.

•       Proven experience leading architecture for complex enterprise data programs.

•       Experience implementing MDM in industries such as financial services, manufacturing, telecom, or retail.

•       Experience with data quality tools and frameworks.

•       Familiarity with graph-based entity resolution approaches.

•       Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

•       Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

•       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
